Aldi Novel Adilang is a 19-year-old boy who could possibly have one of the loneliest jobs in the world, a lamplighter on a rompong. A rompong is a wooden raft that has a hut on top. His responsibility is to light up the hut at night in order to attract more fish. He has been working as a lamplighter since he was sixteen.
